Moles, Garnet Bessie

Garnet Bessie Hiatt Moles, 71, of Christiansburg, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2006 at New River Valley Medical Center.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Kenneth Moles; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Gail Moles, Mike and Kim Moles all of Riner; a daughter, Judy Moles; brothers, Lindy Hiatt and family, Elmo Hiatt and family; a sister, Zelphia Carter and family; grandchildren, Crystal, Travis, Sydney and Jordan; great grandchildren, Kaytlin, Jacob, Madelyn and Michael.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Critical Care Unit Staff at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center and to Wanda Cunningham and Dianne Shelton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Horne Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2006 at the Buffalo Mountain Church, Floyd County, conducted by Mr. Elmo Hiatt and the Rev. Richard Kingrea. Burial will follow in the Harris Cemetery, Buffalo Mountain.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Riner Fire Department, P.O. Box 11, Riner, VA 24149 or the Christiansburg Fire Department, 110 Depot Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073.
