Warren Edward (Mitch) Mitchell Jr., 54, of Draper, passed away Monday July 11, 2016 at Lewis Gale Hospital, Pulaski.Mitch’s ever present smile and unique sense of humor lifted the spirits of everyone he met.

He enjoyed “Porch Sittin” with Ellen and enjoyed the beautiful view from their front porch. His favorite place was his “home place” on Claytor Lake where he learned to ski at the age of two. He loved truck driving, Harley Davidson Motorcycles and shooting. But his true joy was landscaping and plowing snow with his trusty Kubota tractor. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by all!

Mitch was born on April 23, 1962 in Charleston, W.Va. and was the son of the late Evelyn Basham Mitchell and Warren Edward Mitchell Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved step-daughter, Heather Michelle Edens. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Ellen Hall Mitchell of Draper; four sisters, Pam Mitchell Smith (John) of Hiwassee, Denise McCray of Hurricane, W.Va., Debbie McComas of Hiwassee, Janice Higley (Chuck) of Hiwassee; three brothers-in-law, Ralph Hall (Hilda) of Columbia, S.C., Bobby Hall (Linda) of Midlothian, Va., Ken Hall (Barbara) of Christiansburg. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and his loyal fur baby companion, Kirby.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. held Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Stacy Cope officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the funeral home.

Flowers are appreciated, but the family requests donations be made to Safe Haven Child Visitation Center 44 Third Street, N.W. Pulaski, Va. 24301 where he worked tirelessly with his wife on many projects.
