Minnick, Melissa Kay

Melissa Kay Minnick, 44, passed away at her home in Radford, Va., on Thursday, January 21, 2010. She was a cashier at Walmart. Survivors include her parents, William and Carolyn L. Minnick, of Radford; two sons, Kevin Andrew and Ryan Daniel Bugg, both of Radford; a daughter and son-in-law, Jessica Dianne and Steven (Jay) Smith, of Radford; a stepson, Allen “Boo” Bugg, of Radford; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert Kelly and Karen Minnick, of Bland; two grandchildren, Lilly Rynn Oliver and Micah Bennett; and fiance, Daran Reed. Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2010, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Vada Edward Marunich officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society .
