Minnick, Kathryn Altizer

Kathryn Altizer Minnick, 74, of Christiansburg, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elton and Beulah Owens Altizer; and husband, Jackie Wayne Minnick, Sr.

She is survived by her children, Wayne and Tina Minnick, Randolph Minnick, Robin Barker, Vanessa Minnick, Cheryl and Bobby Pettus; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Ruby Altizer; sister, Karen Litchford; grandchildren, Scottie and wife Lisette, Matthew, Daniel, Michael, McCally, Bobby, and Craig & wife Michelle; and a very special great-grandson, Austin Barker.

Not only was Kathryn a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she was a die-hard Dale Earnhardt fan. She loved cars and was an antique dealer in the area for over 30 years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 13, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be private.
