Minnick, Jack Harvey

Jack Harvey Minnick, 79, of Radford, died Thursday, September 6, 2007 in Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.

He was a retired fireman with Hercules Inc. and a veteran of World War II. He was also a member of Virginia May Lodge #38 A.F. & A.M.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth Foster Minnick of Radford; a daughter, Jackie M. and her husband, David Stillwell of Belspring; a sister, Virginia and her husband, Garland G. Albert of Parrott; a brother, Fred (Bill) Minnick and his wife, Margaret of Martinsville; four grandchildren, Melanie, Holly, Joel and Cameron Quesenberry; a stepdaughter, Frances Stillwell and two great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, September 9, 2007, at Calvary Baptist Church, with Pastor O.D. Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park. V.F.W. Post #776 will conduct military graveside services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Radford Fire Department, 1500 Wadsworth Street, Radford, Va., 24141.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at the Calvary Baptist Church. DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford is handling the arrangements.
