Mink, Maxine Duncan

Maxine Duncan Mink, 70, of Dublin passed away Thursday, December 28, 2006 at the home of her daughter. Born September 28, 1936 in Pulaski County she was the daughter of the late Grover and Mildred (Pet) Puckett Duncan. Her beloved husband, Jacob F. Mink and brothers, Woodson, Ray, Elwood and Garnett Duncan also preceded her in death.

Maxine worked for fifteen years in the Pioneer Missile Program at Patrick Air Force Base and Cape Kennedy (then known as Cape Canaveral) working for Pan American World Airways as Department Assistant to the Superintendent of the Supply Department. She was retired from Rostan Inc. where she and her husband served as Apartment Managers for the Pinehurst Apartment Complex in Palm Bay, Florida.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl C. and Freddy Ashworth of Fairlawn; grandchildren, Hannah Ellen Ashworth and Coleman Lee Ashworth both of Fairlawn; brothers, Graham Duncan of Allisonia, Chipper Duncan of Shiloh, Chester Duncan of Hiwassee; sister, Mary D. Criner of Christiansburg, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at the Max Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Coleman and the Rev. David Lones officiating. Interment will follow at the Duncan/Graham Family Cemetery (Hiwassee). The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
