mink james daleJames Dale Mink, of Oxford, N.C., died Saturday, April 20, 2013. He was born November 22, 1943, in Baltimore, Md., and was the son of the late James Cecil and Audrey Taylor Mink. James grew up most of his life in Pulaski. He was an insurance broker, a veteran of the United States Army, a Mason and a member of Trinity Chapel Methodist Church in Pulaski. Memorial services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday April 23, 2013, in Salem United Methodist Church by the Rev. Alan P. Felton. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the services in the fellowship hall of the church. Surviving is a daughter, Sabrina M. DeVincenzo (Nicholas), of Baltimore; brother, Arnold Eugene Mink (Polly), of Blacksburg; sisters, Delores Y. Mink, of Luray, Sandra M. Graham, of Pulaski, Rebecca T. Newberry, of Kernersville, N.C., and Sue T. Somers, of Luray; a grandson, Liam DeVincenzo. Also surviving is longtime friend, Kitty Humphries, of Oxford, N.C., and family, Kathy Humphries and Michael Lambert, of Oxford, N.C., and Lee Anne and Everett Amos, of Manson, N.C., and Raymond Amos, of Manson, N.C. Burial services with military rites will be held 2 p.m. Friday April 26, 2013, in the Southeastern Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Salem United Methodist Church, c/o Phyllis Stark, 6639 Horner Siding Road, Oxford, NC 27565; or to a charity of your choice .
