Miller, Percy James

Percy James (Pete) Miller, 63, of Christiansburg, passed away Sunday June 17, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wister and Mildred Miller; and sister, Sylvia Miller Robbins.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Cyndi Miller, Robin Gould; son, James Miller; Paw paw’s “lil meanie” granddaughter, MiKayla Parks, and six other grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Orville and Norma Miller; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Nancy, Teddy; devoted and cherished long time friend, Gladys Cooper.

Special thanks to Jerry and Elaine Martin (Thank you Jerry for helping lead him home). Also, to Wanda Miller Kirtner, an angel on earth who provided care, love and support until the end. And to Bud Kirtner, for his never-ending patience and support. The family would also like to thank Carilion Hospice-Sharon and Sherri for taking care of “Papa’s” baby. Thank you Lyndsay for providing so much comfort in his final hours.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday June 20, 2012, at Hickman Cemetery, Radford. Military services will be performed by VFW Post 776. Arrangements by DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford. 540-639-2422.
