Miller, Ida Denise Handy

Ida Denise Handy Miller, 35, of Pulaski, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011. Born on June 22, 1976, in Radford, she is the daughter of the Rev. William Coy Handy and wife, Ella Jane Handy; and mother, Shelby Nester Handy. Her grandfather, Raymond Early Nester, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, John Miller, of Pulaski; children, the Rev. Cody Austin Akers, of Dublin, Tiara Nicole Handy, of Richmond, Daran Matthew Perkins, of Pulaski, and William Anthony Sal’lee Marshall, of Radford; stepdaughter , Nellie Miller; stepson, John Douglas Miller; parents, the Rev. William Coy Handy and wife, Ella Jane Handy, of Dublin, and Shelby Nester Handy, of Radford; stepsister , Sarah Long Parlier, of Dublin; stepbrother, Phillip Randolph Long, of Dublin; paternal grandparents, Richard Handy, of Pulaski, and Helen Emanuel, of Pulaski; maternal grandmother, Elsie Nester, of Radford; great- grandmother, Mary Epperley, of Dublin; aunts, Betty Blankenship and husband, Dale, of Pulaski, and Debbie Nicewander and husband, Gary, of Parrott; and several special cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2011, at the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski. Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday evening, November 5, 2011, at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
