Miller, French Homer

On May 1, 2011 French Homer “Topsy” Miller at the age of 69 stepped through the gates of heaven into the waiting arm of his parents, Ralph and Mary Miller, after a long battle with cancer.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 51 years, Olivia Miller; a loving sister, Shirley Miller, of Old Boone Furnace; his children, Doris Mattox, of the home, Lillian Miller, of Roanoke, French Miller, of Old Boone Furnace, Pearl and John McNeely, of Pulaski, and David and Sharon Miller, of Boone Furnace; three stepsons, Roger, Jackie and Robert Leftwich, of Roanoke; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Riverview Church of God. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at Riverview Church of God.

Penn’s Funeral Home of Pulaski, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
