Elizabeth Hill Miller, 84, of Blacksburg, died on Monday, July 11, 2011, at Lewis Gale Medical Center, Salem. She was born in Saltville, Va., on May 28, 1927, to the late James Edward and Rena Osborne Coe.

She was preceded by her first husband, Wesley Edward Hill Sr.; and second husband, Albert (Dutch) Miller Jr.; a stepson, Carlton (Skeet) Miller; two sisters, Louise Call and Ruby Coe; and two brothers, Jim Coe and Gene Coe.

She was a member of the Blacksburg United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son, Wesley Hill Jr.; a daughter, Joyce Whitfield, both of Blacksburg; three grandchildren, Stacey Whitfield, Lauren Whitfield, and Jodi Smith and husband, Kris; three greatgrandchildren; sisters, Pauline Call, of Chilhowie, and Pat Stuart, of Virginia Beach; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Janice Coe, of Chilhowie; and sister-in-law, Shirley Coe, of Chilhowie.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists at Lewis Gale Hospital Montgomery and Lewis Gale Medical Center, Salem, for their caring, compassionate, and superb care for Mrs. Miller.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2011, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Reggie Tuck officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blacksburg Volunteer Rescue Squad, 200 Progress Street, Blacksburg, VA 24060. Friends may call any time after noon on Thursday, July 14, 2011, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
