Midkiff, Hester Marie Turner

Hester Marie Turner Midkiff, age 87 of Pulaski passed away, Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in the Lewis Gale Hospital, Pulaski. Born March 2, 1925 in Pulaski, she was the daughter of the late Lillian Jason Turner and Mollie Jane Hundley Turner.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Lee Midkiff, Jr.; infant son, Roy Lee Midkiff; Sisters, Chole Clark, Virginia Kanode and Lillian Ethel Turner; and brothers, Elmer Silas Turner, Roy Turner, and Ulysses Turner.

Survived by:Special Daughter- Sandi Short-Fairlawn. Special Grandsons- Aaron and Bryce Short-Fairlawn. Special Nieces and Nephews- Paul and Agnes Turner-Bassett, Mary Campbell- Pulaski, Cindy Fanning-Christiansburg Sammy and Judy Saunders- Pulaski. Great Nieces and Nephews- Sammy K Saunders, Jr. – Pulaski, Windy Lawson and Steve Hundley-Dublin, Kim Fanning- Christiansburg, David Campbell-Pulaski, Roy Clark- N.C. Great Great Nieces and Nephews- Kayla Saunders- Pulaski, Haley Saunders-Dublin, Austin Mullins, Parker Mullins, & Jaelyn Fanning-Christiansburg. Great Great Great Nieces and Nephews- Skyelar Saunders- Pulaski, Ayden Saunders-Radford, Specials Friends- Jennie Dishon, Dana Bower Rygas, Shirley Williams, Nokey Reed and Sylvia & Buck Smith.

Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 a.m. in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Randall Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in Thornspring Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service hour at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski. The family will be meeting at the home of Sammy and Judy Saunders, 5642 Thornspring Road, Pulaski.
