Debra Jean Collins Midkiff, 60, entered her heavenly reward on Saturday, November 14, 2020. She was born July 4, 1960 to the late Donald Ray and Ida Alma “Hattie Jo” Collins.

She was a kind, selfless woman and loving mother to her children, a member of Peppers Ferry Pentecostal Holiness Church, and worked as a CNA for nearly 30 years at Heritage Hall in Blacksburg, VA.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Tommy Midkiff, children, Travis Midkiff of Narrows, VA, Mary Ann Furrow and husband Jeff Furrow of Staffordsville, Jarrod Midkiff of Staffordsville, and Matthew Midkiff and wife Taylor Midkiff of Sugar Run, and two granddaughters, Adriana Horton and Paisley Midkiff. She is also survived by her sister, Donna “Becky” McGee of Pearisburg, brothers William “Randy” Collins of Staffordsville, Timothy “Timmy” Collins of Staffordsville, and Jeff Collins of Rich Creek, and special aunt Hazel Stanley of Narrows, VA and aunt Christine Fortner Delk of Winston Salem, N.C.

The viewing will be held on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 10 a.m. at A. Vest and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, in White Gate, VA, followed a private funeral service at 2 p.m. for only immediate family, with Pastor Kathy Higgs officiating. Due to COVID restrictions, only 25 people will be allowed inside the funeral home at a time, and masks are mandatory for entry. A graveside service will be held immediately after at the family graveyard at Dismal, VA with Rev. Charlie Price officiating. A dinner for the family will be held at New Village Pentecostal Holiness Church in Staffordsville after the conclusion of services.
