Meredith, Shirley Stafford

Shirley Ann Meredith, 82, of Newport, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Warm Hearth Nursing and Rehab. Shirley was born in Giles County on February 24, 1939 to the late Emory H. Stafford and Juanita Turpin Stafford Saulnier. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Buford Meredith and siblings, Jimmy Don Stafford and Linda Spicer.

Shirley is survived by her siblings, Emory Stafford and wife, Jean of Gainesville, VA., Jane Stafford of Pearisburg and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Shirley will be conducted on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. A burial will follow in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 20, 2021 from 5 – 7 P.M. at Kendall Funeral Home.
