Meredith, Nancy Odessa Gautier

Nancy Odessa Gautier Meredith, 65, of Pearisburg, departed this life for her heavenly home Friday morning, November 25, 2011 at her home in the care of her loving family and Carilion Hospice. She was born in Giles County on June 26, 1946 in the home of her parents Willie “Tig” and Ercel Davis Gautier.

She was a devoted member of Pearisburg Christ Fellowship, was retired from Celanese with over thirty years service, and loved her weekly bowling outings with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Meredith, her brothers Richard, Buster, David, and Jimmy Gautier and her sister Beulah Martin, her half-brothers Dan, Billy, and Garland Gautier and her half-sister Edna Stewart. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law Kim and Gary Cooper of Pearisburg; her grandchildren Amie Cooper and Matthew Cooper; her brother and sister-in-law Bobby and Darlene Gautier of Rich Creek; her sisters and brother-in-law Shelley and Jeff Spicer of Narrows, Lois Gautier of Rich Creek, and Barbara Gautier of Roanoke; her bowling buddies; her dog Lucy and her cat Otis.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 pm in Pearisburg Christ Fellowship with Pastor Greg Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Narrows. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday evening from 5 until 7 pm.
