Meredith, Melvin Wayne
Melvin Wayne Meredith age 73, of Prices Fork, died, Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Heritage Hall Blacksburg. He was born in Giles County, Virginia, on November 14, 1949. He is preceded in death by his father Jarsh Charles Meredith as well as his special dad Coleman Lee Hilton.
He is survived by his wife Joan Graham Meredith; mother Mardell Williams Hilton; son Daryl Wayne and Renee Meredith; brothers Ricky Hilton, Randy Hilton, Darnell Harvey, and Johnny Meredith (Kathy); special friends Ben Whitaker, Tom Long, and Bobby Linkous. Special thank you to Rachel Ellis for your friendship and helping hand when needed.
A graveside service will be conducted Monday, April 24, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg, Virginia with the Rev. Ben Whitaker officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.

Hey folks I’m so sorry to hear about Melvin. I worked with Melvin at the paint shop at VT a long time ago and we had the best times together laughing and painting. He and I painted every light pole on the campus and every fire hydrant. I will never forget him as long as I live. My name is Earl Martin and I was happy to have Melvin as my friend and I truly send my condolences to his family as I graduated with Johny. I’m sorry for your loss. He and I laughed so much and made a horrible job so much fun.
