Meredith-Hite, Aldenia

Aldenia Marie Meredith-Hite (Lena), 82 of Pembroke went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg. Aldenia was born on August 24, 1941, in Konnarock, VA and was a daughter of the late Robert Jessie Dolinger and Bertha Josephine Haga Dolinger.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Carlton Hite, son, F. Steven Meredith, two brothers, Avery Dolinger, Sr., and Robert Dolinger, and one sister Bonnie Akers.

She is survived by one brother, Clate Dolinger of Pembroke, two grand daughters Katherine (Ryan) Midkiff, Elizabeth Meredith, Daughter-in-law Margaret L. Meredith, and many nieces and nephews who she cherished.

Of her many accomplishments in life, she was most proud of being a mother and Boy Scout Troop Leader to Pembroke Troop 264.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted, Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 2pm at the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, VA. The family will receive friends at Givens Funeral Home 2 hours before the service from 12 – 2pm. Online condolences can be sent to the family at givensfuneralhome.com.
