Meredith, Barbara Bailey

Barbara Ann Meredith, 63, of Mauney St., Pembroke, departed this life Sunday morning, December 3, 2017 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. Born in Giles County on October 21, 1954 she was a daughter of the late Mervin Bailey and Julie Cumbee Bailey. Barbara was a Christian of the Pentecostal Faith, a member of the former Pembroke Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son David Meredith.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband George W. Meredith; her five sons and daughters-in-law George and Lisa Meredith of Blacksburg, Danny Meredith of Pulaski, Gene and Kathy Meredith of Pembroke, Billy Meredith of Pembroke, Johnny and Ashley Meredith of Pearisburg; her eight grandchildren Heaven Meredith, Elijah Meredith, Joshua Meredith, Jonah Meredith, Logan Meredith, Makayla Meredith, Austin Harris, and Hayleigh Meredith.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 12:00 noon in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, VA with Pastors James Walker and Carl Forrester officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services. Entombment will follow the services at Birchlawn Abbey in Pearisburg.
