Meredith, Allen Leon

Allen Leon Meredith, 80 of Newport, VA departed this life suddenly, July 11, 2021. Born April 17, 1941, in Giles County, he was a son of the late Albert and Iona Vaught Meredith.

A servant, he served his country first in the US Army during the Vietnam War, earning a Purple Heart. (Any Additional Personal Information)

He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Anna Bell Williams, Cecil Meredith, Madeline Martin, Alberta Martin, Donnie Williams, Ellis Meredith, Shirley Perdue, Janet Marie Meredith, and Carolyn McMahon.

Left to cherish his memory to their hearts are his children, Pamela Stiff (Ronald) of Newport, Joseph Meredith (LeAnn) of Pembroke, and April Collini (Michael) of Pembroke; grandchildren, Gabrielle Heim (Michael), Olivia Durham (Josh), Toni Collini, Dominic Collini, Hayden Collini, Isabel Collini, Sara Meredith, Katie Meredith, Mitchell Meredith, Jonathan Ratcliff, and Jaiden Ratcliff, a great-grandchild, William Heim; sisters, Bernice Frith of Blacksburg, and Gloria Davidson (Ronnie) of Christiansburg/ and his best buddy (dog), Charlie.

There will be a funeral service conducted Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Pastors Eddie Kendall and Stuart Davis officiating. Funeral services will conclude at Birchlawn Burial Park.
