Tammy Lynn Parcell Meadows, 52, of Pearisburg, Va., departed this world to be with the Lord on Monday, November 15, 2010, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, on February 1, 1958, and was the daughter of Maxine Perdue Riddle Agee. From a very early age, she grew up under the loving care of Phillip and Joyce Parcell, whom she also considered her parents. A 1976 graduate of Narrows High School, she was a former employee of Celanese Acetate with 10 years service. An organized, outgoing, steadfast and compassionate person, she spent much of her time caring for home bound adults and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 23 years, Tony Meadows, of Pearisburg; five children, Bridget, Jason, Jesse, Justin and Jonathan; six grandchildren, Ethan, Connor, Seth, Emma, Skyler, and Braxton; three brothers, Tony and Debbie Parcell, of Wolf Creek, Greg and Ada Parcell, of Pearisburg, and William “Junebug” Riddle, of Narrows; two sisters-in-law, Tina and Roger Brown, of Oakvale, W.Va., and Jenny and Brad Meadows, of Princeton; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; many special friends; including a stepmother-inlaw, Frances Parcell. Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2010, in the chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with the Rev. Thomas Martin officiating. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Chapel on Friday from 11 a.m. until just prior to the service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Tony Meadows, 2251 Curve Road, Pearisburg, Va. 24134, to assist with Tammy’s final expenses.
