Meadows, Sr., Grover Alvin

Grover Alvin Meadows, Sr., 69, of Rich Creek, departed this life Saturday evening, April 14, 2018 at his home. Born in Glen Lyn on October 8, 1948, he was a son of the late Charlie Herbert and Icey Harman Meadows.

Alvin had been employed as an ironworker. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Neda Collins Meadows, his son Daniel Meadows, his brothers Dwight and Howard Meadows, and his daughter Pam M. Sears.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son and daughter-in-law Butch and Darlene Meadows of Oakvale, WV; his daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Roy Wall of Fairlawn; his sisters Charlene Fortner and husband Arvin of Peterstown and Carolyn Humphries of Glen Lyn; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, with The Rev. Terry Weatherly officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 pm.
