Naoma “Faye” Meadows, 63 of Narrows passed away Wednesday, January 29th, 2014 at her home. She was born in Oceana, West Virginia on May 8th, 1950 and was the daughter of the late Archie Augustus and Minnie Sue Altizer Lambert.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Lee Altizer and Archie August Lambert; four sisters, Virginia Diane Haywood, Eva May Williams, Minnie Rose Lambert, and Nancy Ann Harrah.

Faye worked for many years as a seamstress for several sewing factories in Giles County, as well as a certified nursing assistant at both Riverview Nursing Home and MacArthur House. In recent years, she was also an associate with Walmart in Pearisburg. A loving wife and mother, known affectionately as “Maw Maw Faye,” she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are a son, Randy Glen Meadows and wife Dreama of Glen Lyn; two daughters, Melissa Dunford and husband Keith of Narrows, and Jennifer Rose Peyton and husband Jeremy of Shiloh, Ohio; three grandchildren, Joshua Glen Meadows, Tina Marie Meadows, and Guhner Conrad Dunford; one great-grandchild, Braxton Lee Martin; and one expectant great-grandchild, Makenzie Grace Meadows; two sisters, Mona Beatrice Hall of North Carolina, and Peggy Annette Lambert of West Virginia; a brother, Robert Dale Lambert, also of West Virginia; her best friend, Wanda Smith of Glen Lyn; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows Sunday, 2nd, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM. At her wishes, she will be cremated following the visitation.
