Meadows Jr., Floyd “Buddy”

Floyd Philip “Buddy” Meadows Jr. 73, of Pearisburg, Va. Born February 6, 1942 passed away at home from a long time illness. He went to his heavenly home on December 10, 2015. He was the son of the late Floyd Philip “Bruzz” and Katherine Irene Ramsey Meadows. He was employed and retired from Celanese Corporation after serving 25 years.

He was the brother of the late Yvonne Meadows Dickerson. He will be remembered and missed by caring brothers Aaron Ramsey of Washington D. C. and Alex Meadows of Pearisburg, Virginia.

Surviving children are Renee’ Meadows West (Kenneth) of Chesterfield Virginia, Lisa Meadows Smith (Clarence) of Dublin Virginia, Vanessa Lynn Meadows of Richmond, Virginia, Tyrone Meadows of Pearisburg, Virginia, and Paul Hendricks of Radford, Virginia. Grandchildren: Diamond T. Meadows and Cole Tyrone Meadows of Pearisburg, and Kendra Renee and Kendrick Nathaniel West of Chesterfield, Virginia, Satirka Hendricks of Radford Virginia, Kaden A.Hendricks and Eliejh B, Staunton,Virginia, Merical Hendricks Radford Virginia. Gertrude E. Meadows of Chesterfield, former wife and friend. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins great- grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Givens Funeral Home, 110 Woodrum Street, Pearisburg, VA, on December 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 1:00pm before the service. Online condolences can be sent to the family at givensfuneralhome.com.
