Etta Wolfe Meadows, 69 of Pearisburg is now at peace. She went to rest on Friday, October 9th, 2009. A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on June 1st, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Curtis Graham and Minnie Blankenship Wolfe.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by the love of her life for 25 years, A.C. “Junior” Meadows; a grandson, Lee Conley; four brothers, Russell, Henry and Jimmy Bivens and Harvey Wolfe; and two sisters, Ruby Palmer and Imogene Harrell.

She was a faithful member of Ingram Village United Methodist Church in Pearisburg, and was a loving mother, grandmother and caregiver in her neighborhood.

Left to cherish her memory are a son, Jimmie Meadows and wife Bobbie; a daughter, Lynne Conley, all of Pearisburg; two grandsons, Jamie Meadows and wife Natalie of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Daniel Conley of Pearisburg; two great-grandchildren, Will and Eva Meadows; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, including a very special cousin, Illene McKinney of Narrows, and many special friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 12th, 2009 at 1 PM at Ingram Village United Methodist Church in Pearisburg with Rev. Ted Anders officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at Ingram Village United Methodist Church Sunday from 6 to 8 PM.
