meadows_dewey_eugeneDewey Eugene Meadows, 71, of Victory Lane in Narrows, departed this life at his home, Thursday evening, March 17, 2011, in the loving care of his family. He was born in Willowton, W.Va., on February 15, 1940, and had earned his living as an iron worker out of Local 697. Dewey was a member of the Kellysville Church of God in Kellysville, W.Va. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Onnie Dewey Meadows and Nancy Meadows; his stepmother, Marie Dillon Meadows; his son, Anthony “Tool” Meadows; and his brother, Gary Meadows. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of over 50 years, Shirley Akers Meadows; his son, Danny Joe Meadows, of Narrows; his daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Jeffery Blankenship, of Narrows, Nancy Simpkins and friend, Scott Dillon, of Narrows, Teresa and Mike Perdue, of Narrows, and Chasity and Warren Wilson, of Rich Creek; his grandchildren, Krista and Cody Kast, Melody Bouldin, Steven Meadows, Kayla and Travis Bugg, Breanna Wilson, Taylor Wilson, Jackie Blankenship, Jacob Perdue, and Luke Perdue; his great-grandchildren, Levi Boothe and Stephanie Bugg; his brother, Howard and his wife, Mary, of Kellysville, W.Va.; and his sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Hiram Weatherly, of Kellysville, W.Va., Lucille and Glenn Ramos, of Narrows, and Gayle and Calvin Wimmer, of Narrows. Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2011, in the Kellysville Church of God, Kellysville, W.Va., with Pastor Franklin Atkins and Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 4 until 7 p.m. on Sunday evening. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011, in Fairview Cemetery at Narrows.
