Annabelle Vaught Meadows, 66, of Narrows, went home to be with the Lord, her husband and grandson on Friday, May 1, 2009. A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on May 28, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Jess Henderson and Grace Stanley Vaught.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, James Harold Meadows; a grandson, Samuel Dale Hollie; five sisters, Louise Roughton, Lucille Thomas, Betty Booth, Mae Reed and Marie Spicer; and six brothers, Cecil, Jack, Clarence, Earl, Virgil and Clifford Vaught.

Annie was a member of New Valley Fellowship, and will best be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cynthia Haymore and husband David, Linda Hollie and husband Tom, and Gene Meadows and wife Kelly, all of Narrows; six grandchildren, Stephanie Haymore, Jackson Haymore, Josh Hollie, Cody Hollie, Ethan James Meadows and Jacob Ballard; four sisters, Joyce Parcell of Narrows, Martha Beasley of Princeton, Rachel Herman of Thomasville, North Carolina, and Ruth Stuart of Radford; four brothers, Bill Vaught of Rich Creek, Maury Vaught of Ripplemead, Charles Vaught of Princeton, and Jess Vaught of Trinity, North Carolina; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and many friends including a special and faithful friend, Judy Ballard of Peterstown.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 4, 2009 at 11 a.m. at New Valley Fellowship, 200 Roberta Street in Narrows, with Pastor Dan Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows.
