McQuerry, Sandra Akers

Sandra Akers McQuerry, 69, of Christiansburg, went Home and is at rest on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. She was preceded in death by her mom, Mary Ann Snyder Akers Payne.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 27 years, Michael McQuerry; her loving son, Bobby Carr and wife, Bonita; two daughters, Sharon McQuerry and Kathy Cox; grandchildren, Cheyenne Carr, Joshua Carr and wife, Taylor, Beth Elrod, Ashley Elrod and husband, Izral Daniels, and Ethan Carr; great-grandchildren, Morgan Carr and Ruthie Daniels; brothers, Charles Akers and wife, Judy, Gerald “Jerry” Akers and wife, Kathy, and James Akers and wife, Dinah; and half sisters, Jeanette Akers Yonce and Julianna Akers Parker.

The family would like to thank all the churches, friends and family who have given support and prayers during this difficult time. Sandy was a very loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2012, at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Darlene Marshall officiating. Interment will follow in Hickman Cemetery, Hickman Cemetery Road, Pulaski.
