McPeak, George Rudolph

George Rudolph “Rudy” McPeak, 88, of Pulaski, passed away Tuesday morning Oct. 21st 2014 at his home. Born March 27th 1926 in Newbern VA he was the son of the late Cleve B. and Carrie Andrews McPeak. He was also preceded in death by his wife Christine Fairchild McPeak. Rudy worked 32 years at Burlington Industries and 12 years at Fontaine. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.He served in the Navy during WWII, was a long time member of VFW Post 1184, Pulaski and American Legion Post 7.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Terry McPeak, Richard McPeak, David and Shawn McPeak; sisters, Effie Hollins, Ella Mae Goad; grandchildren, April, Nicole, Ashley, Lara, Darren and Ryan; five great grandchildren; special friends, Mike Steffey, Juanita and Jackie Hopkins.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2014 from the Trinity Baptist Church, Robinson Tract Road, Pulaski, with the Rev. Johnny Howlett and the Rev. Mike Honaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1184. The Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening, October 25, 2014 at the Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
