McMahan, Alice Keister,

Alice Keister McMahan, 92, of Blacksburg, died Tuesday morning, December 31, 2013. Alice was born May 4, 1921. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Boyd C. McMahan and her precious 16 month old grandson, Stephen Leon Linkous. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Drucille Keister, her father and mother-in-law, Jessie and Carie McMahan. She was the younger sister to three brothers and four sisters. She has now been reunited with her family and friends in her Heavenly Home. Alice will always be lovingly missed and remembered by her son, Jeffrey B. McMahan and daughter, Lenore M. Linkous, grandchildren, Shela Estes, David R. McMahan, wife, Karen, their children allie, Josh and Charlie. Former son-in-law, William Leon Linkous, daughter-in-law, Mary S. McMahan and sister-in-law, Virginia Keister. She is also survived by her special friend and caregiver, Gloria S. Long and Valerie Shelor, numerous nieces and nephews and friends, Linda Tolbert and Sam Jones. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 3, 2014 at 11:00 am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hiawatha Spraggins officiating. Interment will follow in the Harless Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00am Friday prior to the service at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacskburg.
