McGuire, Robert Miller

Robert Miller McGuire, 63, of Pembroke, Va., and Walnut Cove, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 8, 2010, at Hospice House in Winston-Salem, N.C. Born on September 21, 1948, in Giles County he was a son of the late Patrick and Myrthie Radford McGuire.

He was an employee of Corn Products and a member of Woodard Memorial Baptist Church in Greensboro, N.C.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Mac and Michele McGuire, of Jamestown, N.C.; grandchildren, Morgan, Matthew, and Mason, of Jamestown, N.C.; his brother, Dean and Geneva McGuire, of Pleasant Garden, N.C.; his sisters, Ann and Jim St.Clair, of Trinity, N.C., Ellen and Roy Martin, of Pembroke, and Carole and Don Poteet, of Pembroke; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Funeral Services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2010, in Snow Hill Methodist Church in Danbury, N.C., with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Interment will follow in Snow Hill Methodist Church Cemetery in Danbury, N.C. The family will receive friends at the Burroughs Funeral Home in Walnut Cove, N.C., on Thursday evening, November 11, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m.
