McGrady, Iris Rupe

Iris Rupe McGrady, 62, of Pulaski, beloved wife, mother and grandmother died Saturday, August 5, 2006 in the Lewis-Gale Medical Center, Salem, Va.

She was born on June 26, 1944 in Pulaski and was the daughter of the late Estel Rupe. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Francis Rupe Niday.

Surviving are: her husband of 21 years, Russell McGrady, Pulaski; mother, Nettie Edwards Rupe, Pulaski; daughter, Joanne Kanode, Pulaski; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Sybil Rupe, Pulaski; brothers, J. C. Rupe, Candler, N.C., Garfield Rupe, Pulaski; sister, Dora Rupe, Pulaski; grandchildren, Cody, Nicholas, Cameron Salmons, Pulaski, Lindsay Moore, Carroll Co.; step-children, Susan Moore, Carroll Co., Anthony McGrady, Mt. Airy, N.C.

A private service will be held for friends and family at a later date.
