McGrady, Hazel Alley

Hazel Alley McGrady, 86, better known as Maw Maw to everyone, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 1, 2015.

Born August 23, 1928, in Ivanhoe, Va., she was the daughter of the late Robert Jackson Alley and Maude Williams Alley. She was a homemaker and lifetime member of the Hilltop Pentecostal Holiness Church, and attended Amazing Grace Ministries and Mountain Brick Church.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, William R. McGrady, and a son, Ronnie McGrady.

Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law Betty and Jimmy Dobbins, Sue and Charles Bratton, Marie Martin and Virginia Walker; sons and daughters-in-law Kenneth and Marie McGrady, Jimmy McGrady, and Victor and Tina McGrady; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Randall Jones and Rev. Bruce Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
