McGlothlin, Charles Mark

Charles Mark McGlothlin went peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, September 4, 2020. Born in Pulaski, VA March 4, 1932 he was a life-long resident of Pulaski. Due to continued health concerns he moved to Roanoke, VA in 2019 to be near family.

He was retired from Coleman Furniture Company and later Pulaski Furniture Company with nearly 40 years of service. Charles was a member of the First Church of the Brethren in Pulaski and Hiwassee Church of the Brethren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert B and Ruth Moore McGlothlin, a daughter Melissa Kay McGlothlin, brothers Kelly McGlothlin, Eugene McGlothlin and sister Alice Hoback.

Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life Dorothy L Cregger McGlothlin. Known by all simply as Dot and Charles they would have celebrated 59 years of marriage October 18. Brother Johnny McGlothlin and wife Wanda of Pulaski, son Mark McGlothlin and wife Julie of Roanoke, VA and daughter Malana McGlothlin of Bristol, VA. Five grand children Sarah McGlothlin Vickers and husband Ron, Chassity Draper, Dustin Cox and wife Britney Sara Zook and husband Logan, and Cody Melton. Three great grand children Gavin Vickers, Conner Draper and Trey Swick as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 12, 2020 from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Frank Peters officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.

The family would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to the staff at Pulaski Health and Rehab Center and to the staff at Raleigh Court Health and Rehab Center in Roanoke for their care and compassion.
