McDowell, Dale V.

Dale V. McDowell, 83, of Christiansburg, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2008, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born April 8, 1924, in Charleston, W.Va., to the late Charles V. and Josephine Walton McDowell. He was also preceded in death by a brother Glenn McDowell and a greatgranddaughter, Anna Grace McDowell.

He is survived by his wife, Anita; son and his wife, Vernon and Sandy; a special grandson and his wife, Kevin and Laura; and a very special granddaughter, Faith McDowell, all of Christiansburg; a sister-in-law, Delores McDowell, of Charleston, W.Va. Dale was a veteran of the United States Marines, serving in World War II.
