McDaniel Sr., Bobby Lee

Bobby Lee McDaniel Sr., 68, of Draper, Va., passed away Thursday morning, July 17, 2008, at the New River Valley Medical Center.

Born December 29, 1939, in Radford, he was the son of the late Joseph McDaniel and Melita Christine Dobbins McDaniel. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia Darlene McDaniel, of Draper; children, Bobby Lee McDaniel Jr., of Dublin, Michael Wayne and Cynthia McDaniel, of Dublin, Robin Gail and Tim Saul, of Dublin, Phillip Terry and Kelley McDaniel, of Dublin, Kevin Ray Gautier, of Radford, and Kimberly Dawn and Rick Patterson, of Dublin; nine grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and brother, Ronald “Ron” and Clydette McDaniel, of Port Royal, S.C.

A graveside funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2008, at the Memorial Christian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating.
