McCroskey, Charlene Collins

Charlene Collins McCroskey 77 of Goldbond, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at UVA Hospital after complications from Wegeners Disease. Charlene was born on March 1, 1943 in Giles County to the late John H. and Vivian Merrix Collins. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Martin, sisters, JoAnn Darnell and Erma Epling and Jarrod Clark who was like a grandson.

Charlene was a faithful member of Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead. She was a loving and generous Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister and friend to many.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 61 years James McCroskey, son, Charlie McCroskey and wife Missy of Peterstown, WV., special Niece Judy Clark and husband Larry of Pembroke, VA., brothers, Pete Collins, Billy Collins and wife Shelby, sisters, Jean Ratcliff and husband Larry, Rose Darnell and husband Larry. She was also survived by her grandchildren, Justin McCroskey, Mariah Kegley, Christian Kegley and Brad Clark. Great-Grandchildren, Morgan and Aniston Clark along with many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

Per Charlene’s wishes there will be no public visitation however, a public graveside service will be held on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg with Pastor Shaun Wilburn officiating. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.kendallfuneralhome.com.
