McCoy, Ruth Gross

Ruth Edna McCoy, 78, of Blacksburg passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013. She was preceded in death by her mother, Myra Lee Biven; and her father, Charles Henry Gauss.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Grace McCoy-Musselman; her granddaughters, Oma Lee McReynolds and Laura Ann Wimmer; great-grandchildren, Racheal Anne McReynolds, Aaron Scott McReynolds, Rebecca Dawn Harmon, Emily Grace Wimmer, Kennedy Jean Wimmer, and Caroline Leigh Wimmer.

Ruth was a LPN for over 50 years. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 9th at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Doug Price officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg.
