McCoy, Ruby Lenora Mullins

Ruby Lenora Mullins McCoy, 66, of Christiansburg, died Saturday, January 26, 2008, at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

She was born in Dickenson County, Va. on April 6, 1941. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rodney McCoy and a sister, Betsy Mullins. Ruby is a retired teacher, having taught at Christiansburg Middle School for 30 plus years. She is a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Christiansburg, Va.

She is survived by her mother and father, Enzel and Woodrow Mullins, of Nora, Va.; two daughters, Robin Bibb and husband, Paul, of Christiansburg, Va., Renee Poff and husband Todd, of Christiansburg, Va.; sister, Kathy Defriece and husband, Jim, of Ridgeway, Va.; seven brothers, Curtis Mullins and wife, Christine, of Nora, Va., Woodrow Mullins Jr. and wife, Betty, of Cedar Bluff, Va.; Roger Mullins and wife, Lola, of Cleveland, Va., Truman Mullins and wife, Pam, of Clintwood, Va., Donald Mullins and wife, Debbie, of Clintwood, Va., Mickey Mullins and wife, Deanna, of Castlewood, Va., John Mullins and Debbie, of Cedar Bluff, Va.; four grandchildren, Holly and Drew Bibb, Jordan and Karley Poff; very special friend, “Granny” Ellen Main and family; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at 1 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phyllis Spiegel officiating.Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
