McCoy, Lucy Albert

Lucy Jane Albert McCoy of Parrott, Virginia, passed away February 8. 2007. She was 85 years old.

She was the widow of the late Giles W. (Jack) McCoy. She was the last remaining child of the late Henry and Hettie Albert. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Susie Solomon and Mary Helen Ritter, and one brother, James Albert.

She was a wonderful and beloved Mom to her three children. They are: Myrtle (Allen) Kenley, Shirley (Benny) Mann and Charles (Marie) McCoy. She was Maw-Maw to her grandchildren. They are: William (Carol) Kenley, Rodney (Vicki) Kenley, Mitchell McCoy, Bryan Mann, Matthew Shelor and Christopher Shelor, Danny and Pam Mann, Dale and Lindy Mann, Diane Martin and their families.

She was Maw-Maw Lucy to her greatgrandchildren. They are: Jack and Grace Kenley, April Kenley, Michael McCoy, Dalton and Benjamin Mann. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, one special nephew, Dennis Ritter and many dear friends. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

She was a faithful member of the Parrott United Methodist Church all of her life. Her church and her family were the focus of her life. We would like to thank all of the caregivers at Radford Rehabilitation Center for their loving care to our Mother.

Visitation will be held Saturday at Devilbiss Funeral Home from 2 to 5 p.m. The funeral will be held at the Parrott United Methodist Church, Sunday at 11 am. with Pastor Mike Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the Sifford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Parrott United Methodist Church or to the Carter Street United Methodist Church.
