Eva Lorene Perdue McCoy, 90, of McCoy, Va., died on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at New River Valley Medical Center.

She was born in Luster’s Gate, Va. on August 11, 1917 to the late James Thomas and Lucy Adeline Miller Perdue and was also preceded in death by her husband, Ira Harold McCoy; a daughter, Verna Mae Hall; five brothers, Marshall Vernon Perdue, Walter Pack Perdue, Carl Wesley Perdue, Houston Thomas (Shorty) Perdue, and Charles James (Grant) Perdue; two sisters, Essie Mae Perdue, died as an infant and Irene Perdue Oliver.

She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Ira O. (Jack) and Barbara (Bob) Perdue of McCoy, Kenneth H. and Vanessa McCoy of McCoy; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ola Howery Perdue of Blacksburg, Rosemary McCoy of Dublin; Charlie Helvey of McCoy, Larry K. and Yvonne McCoy of McCoy, Irene McCoy of McCoy and John and Frances McCoy of McCoy; two granddaughters, Crystal Marie Perdue of Pilot and Carolyn and Donald Fleet of Blacksburg; greatgrandchildren, Monica Dae Perdue of Blacksburg and Jason Harold Perdue of Pilot; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 3 p.m. in the Community Christian Church with Mr. James O. Flaughter and Mr. Bobby E. Fuller officiating. Interment will follow in the McCoy Family Cemetery, McCoy. Friends may call any time after 12 noon on Thursday, November 8, 2007 and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 County Club Drive, Blacksburg, Va.
