McCoy, Betty Roop

Betty Roop McCoy, 75, of Radford, passed away Friday, February 1, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam McCoy; mother and father, Perry and Myrtle Roop; brothers, Perry Roop Jr. and Lewis Roop.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters and sons-in-law, Jim and Diane Bishop, Bobby and Sherrie Sartin; sister, Jeanette Nelson; grandchildren, Mark Barnes and wife, Rhonda, Chrissy Dove, Jessica Harman, and Mindy Saul; and five great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Highland Ridge Rehab Center and Mountain Valley Hospice for their love and loyal support.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2008, at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford.
