Mayweathers, Marion (George)

In loving memory of Marion Mayweathers Sunrise: June 4, 1937 Sunset: October 27, 2011. Marion Mayweathers (George) was born on the fourth of June, 1937, in Helena, Arkansas to the late Beatrice Riley and George Merriweather. He is also preceded in death by three sons, Gerald, Anthony, and Vincent. He attended public schools in Bayonne, New Jersey. He then married Patricia Eleanor Gordon and enlisted in the army. After completing his term in the military, he held many jobs but he established a long career as a truck driver. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; his children, Jean, Juanita, Dianna, Christopher, Mark, Rhonda, Gary, Patricia, Watumbe, Doris (husband Rodney), Kimeca (husband Clarence), Micheal McCoy (wife Daisy), Douglas McCoy, and Adam McCoy. George is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted, Monday, October 31, 2011 at 4 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
