Maynard, Stella Stuart

Stella Stuart Maynard, 82, of Radford, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011. She was a member of the Radford Christian Church and retired from Radford University housekeeping department.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Valerie Bond, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; two grandchildren, Catrina and Austin Bond; sister, Peggy Simpkins Rose, of Florida; brother, Harry L. Randolph Simpkins, of Georgia; special friends, Michael and Kay Walsh, of Harrisonburg with their children, Davis and Kristen Walsh and Katie Walsh.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 16, 2011, at 7 p.m. at the Radford Christian Church with the Rev. Bobby Sutphin officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 11 a.m. in the West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Radford Humane Society.
