Mawyer, Sandra Allen

Sandra Allen Mawyer, of Earlysville, died on Sunday, February 11, 2007 as the result of an automobile accident.

Born February 6, 1950 in Blacksburg, Va., she was the daughter of the late Paul C. Allen and Alice Alls Allen. Sandra was an Office Manager for Martha Jefferson Health Services for ten years. A member of First Baptist Church, she loved life, her granddaughter, and liked to travel, especially to Smith Mountain Lake.

Surviving her are her husband, Richard Wayne Mawyer of Earlysville; her son, Michael W. Mawyer and his wife Leslie, of Earlysville; her granddaughter, Meredith Mawyer; her sister, Linda Allen White and her husband Rodney, of Blacksburg; her four brothers, P.J. Allen and his wife Cecile, of Ashburn, Va., Linwood Allen and his wife Pat, of Troutville, Va., Gary Allen and his wife Kay, of Shenandoah, Va., and William Allen of Blacksburg, Va.; her sister-in-law, Margaret A. Roberts and her husband Eldridge, of Charlottesville; her aunt, Florence Allen of Blacksburg, Va.; and her uncle, Everett Allen and his wife Lucille, of Homestead, Fla.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2007 in the Hill and Wood Funeral Home with the Rev. Lindsay Sadler officiating. Interment will follow in the Holly Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 in the funeral home.
