Matheny, John Robert

John Robert (Buddy) Matheny, 76, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 in Floyd. He was born June 11, 1936 in Roanoke a son of the late John R. and Marguerite Slaven Matheny. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Emma E. Matheny.

Surviving are his sisters, Virginia Huddelston and Martha Matheny; daughters, Kelly and Leslie, and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.

A Graveside Service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013 in Evergreen Burial Park. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. 540-366-0707.
