Martin, Virginia Gearheart

Virginia Alene Gearheart Martin, age 74, of Riner died, Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Floyd, Va. on September 9, 1941 to the late Frank Walton and Millie Virgie Harris Duncan.

She is also preceded in death by her two husbands, James Henry Gearheart and Lew Martin, daughter, Cindy Gearheart Saunders, brother, John Harvey Collins.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Marie Taylor, Betty Jean Barker, both of Riner, Patricia Ann White, Pearisburg, son and daughter -in-law, James Clayton Gearheart and wife, Mary, Radford, five grandchilden, two great-grandchildren, special friend, Frances Fowler.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Light House Family Ministries with the Rev. Buford Linkous officiating. Interment will follow in the Huffville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
