amem_gardening_tools.jpgVirginia Dawn Farmer Martin, 78, of Dublin, was welcomed into the arms of her loving Savior on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. She was born in Dublin, Va., to the late Robert Kent Farmer and Madeline Brillheart Farmer on January 5, 1934. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Farmer; and one sister, Katherine Bayless.

She is survived by her husband, Don Martin; son, Michael K. Martin and his wife, Chris, along with their two sons, Kent and Brock Martin, of San Diego, Calif.; daughter, Pamela D. Martin, of Draper; son, Mitchell S. Martin and his wife, Cheryl, along with their two sons, Matthew and Jackson, of Huntersville, N.C.; brother, David Farmer, of Bedford, and Gary Farmer and his wife, Ginger, along with their daughter, Tasha, of Lebanon; and special nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed being branch manager of the Bank of Virginia, a member of the Dublin United Methodist Church and Garden Club. She also had fond memories of teaching Sunday school and the Cub Scouts. She was a loving mother and delighted in helping others.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012, from the Dublin United Methodist Church with Pastor Kathie Wilson-Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be held on Saturday morning from the church where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
