Martin, Vada Bell

Vada Bell Martin, 76 of Narrows, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 21st, 2013 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Mercer County, West Virginia on January 9th, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Truman Monroe and Dollie Mae Walls Hylton. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Pam Jones and Ann Hatcher.

Vada loved her family. She was greatly loved and respected by all that knew her. She loved to garden and be outside. Her family and husband will miss her dearly.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 41 years, Jerry (Dee) Martin; two sons, Frank Jones and wife Carla of Mercer County, West Virginia, and Michael Jones and wife Lisa of Narrows; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 26th, 2013 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service Monday from 6 to 8 PM.
