Martin, Treva Mae

Treva Mae Wheeling Martin, 72, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away suddenly on Monday, January 25, 2010, at home with her son by her side. She was preceded in death by her mother, Macie Bryant Wheeling; father, Oakley Wheeling; sisters, Helen Trump, Edith Gillespie, Rebia Scott, and Maxie Allen; and grandson, Travis Martin.

Left behind to cherish her memory is a son, Larry Oakley Martin; brother, Buford Wheeling; sister, Christine Wheeling Akers; aunt, Norina Dudley; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. J. Michael Payne, Dr. John White, the members of the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, and to all the kind nurses and staff at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2010, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dusty Etter officiating. Interment will follow in the Dudley Cemetery in Fagg, Va. The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Friday at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg, Va.
