Martin, Mary Elizabeth

Mary Elizabeth Martin, 87 formerly of Pearisburg, VA departed this life April 2, 2021 under the sweet care of Carilion Hospice. Born in Giles County, VA on March 13, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Luther Francis and Maggie Sue Riggs Martin.

Mary dedicated herself to her family and faith attending Pentecostal Holiness churches faithfully.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Martin; grandson, Terry Anderson; and siblings, Bessie Snider, Samuel Martin, Minor Martin, William Martin, Albert Martin, Gertrude Terry, and Reba Sue Carter.

Left to cherish her memory are a son, Billy Martin (Cheryl) of Pembroke; daughters, Mary Ann Martin Nunn (Henry) of Hiwassee, and Kimberlie Ann Martin Nunn (David) of Hiwassee; grandchildren, Robbie Anderson (Suzanne), Jeffrey Anderson (Megan); Amanda Stuart (Tim); Samantha Caudill (Cody); and Kaitlyn Nunn; great grandchildren, Matthew Anderson, Alec Anderson, Aliana Anderson, and Mindy Woolwine; special in-laws, Dolly Martin Miller, Jane Martin, and Kenneth Carter; and many special nieces, nephews and friends.

There will be a graveside service conducted in Mary’s memory Monday April 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Birchlawn Burial Park with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating.
